    Optimized Edge Routing (OER)

    Hi all,

Can someone specify if OER is still valid for the lab exam?  I notice that it's mentioned on the Expanded 4.X Blueprint and there is a section in Volume 1workbook, however, I don't see any videos referencing OER in the 4.5 Adv Technology videos.

    Regards,

    Johnnie

If you check the R & S lab blueprint, you will see

2.80 Implement Performance Routing (PfR) and Cisco Optimized Edge Routing (OER)

    Details are here:

    https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/docs/DOC-4375

That means PFR/OER is not removed from blueprint.

Can INE clarify why PFR is not covered in Net R&S ATC... so is there something I am missing ?

    I noticed that too.

PFR seems to be really flakey and bordering on useless in practice.

Or.... maybe I just don't know what i'm doing. Big Smile

I also noticed that PfR and ospf virtual links are not covered in the new CCIE R&S ATC.

    Hi,

I would say it is quite easy. For The scope of The lab, understand The concepts and know where to find it in The configuration guide.

Is it quite easy? If you look at blueprint

2.80 Implement Performance Routing (PfR) and Cisco Optimized Edge Routing (OER)

But there is no limited boundary, on how much deep have to go? not quite easy!!!!

I'm thinking that Brian just missed the topic in the ATC.

Maybe this is an excellent next topic then for the Video blog?

If you have access to the Open Lecture Serie then you'll find some of the lectures for PfR/OER.

    Hi nnn,

Saying it is easy, i wanted to make your day easier :) Yes, it is a not so used topic, which makes it even harder than it seems. But, if you have a base understanding and configuration perspective on it, know where to scout the Doc-CD you will make it with Pfr/OER tasks in the lab, should not be that difficult.

    Good luck with your studies!

    Hi Cristian.matei,

Thanks for your response but my queries was based on blueprint

2.80 Implement Performance Routing (PfR) and Cisco Optimized Edge Routing (OER)

there is no any clue about how much you have to cover for the exam. I finished whatever covered at INE vol1 and Doc-CD.

    HAPPY STUDY
