    funny side effects of studying

    Hey guys!

Today I had to laugh about myself :).

I wanted to place a phone call to my parents and began to type 1...7...2...than I got a little confused because I was searching the "dot" to continue with the second octet :D. Then I realized...OMG you idiot thats a PHONE!!! :D

What funny side effects of filling your brain with networking stuff have you experienced?

    Happy sunday!

    Regards!

Haha, that's amazing ! It happened to me as well, I sent an email to a customer and opening the email instead of writing his name, I typed his device host name ;)

On ther other hand, it's a signal from your brain that it needs some rest, as your brain is probably entering a resting state while you are pushing it to work. Have a good weekend :)

Yes my brain needs a small rest. I am having the CCIE written exam in 5 days (friday) and I am quite finished with my preparations, but I still have points that I need to look up. Then repeat sonme things with the routingbits handbook.

I am thinking If I shoiuld let cisco be cisco over the last two days in december due to christmas etc. but somehow I got a bad concience about that. Well I will see. I will override my brain until the written exam and then I will need a break and some beers.

    Also a nice one :).

Yeah toxic you are mostly right! Thanks for the post! Giving the best that one has is definitely the best. But when the brain is exhausted its enough for a short time.

Tomorrow and Wednesday I will repeat the stuff, on tuesday and thursday I will do some sports and chill. If there are any major conepts I do not understand right now probably is too late. But right on wednesday Iwill feel well prepared I think.

I will tell you the results.

adaptation ie muscle growth occurs when you push a muscle beyond what it is normally used to doing....which is very painful...and uncomfortable...which is why 99% of the people that visit the gym..look at crap after years of going....and then they wonder why.

    ditto for the brain

g'luck man and all the best on the test!

Yes, I agree with you. But the muscle also needs rest right? Resting is part of the training.

99% of the population never over trains nor do they over study...

they only convince themselves they did....

the human body/mind has great reserviors of capacity that people never tap into...merely convincing themselves that they have done enough well short of their true potential...

and yes the muscle needs rest after being properly trained.....

    key word..properly trained...

properly trained = you are damn near close to crippled with delayed onset muscle soreness the day after you trained "-)

if you can get out of bed in under 10 mins...you didn't train hard enough....ws my motto...

<edit>..hell in my gym...throwing up from the pain during training ws a rite of passage...

now take that and apply it to your CCIE training.... :-)

Well....I fully agree with today...did the test exam of INE some days ago...was quite good, today -> horrible, no focus, no patience, no correct reading. This afternoon it is getting better.

I agree with you that we must train beyond our comfort zone. And this was what I had done. I sacrificed my sleep time and use it for studying, until one day my ear was congested and I went to see doctor. It was caused by sleep deprivation. And the other day I came back from work, had my dinner, and started to study, but my body was just shutting down after 10 minutes studying, my body couldn't take it any longer. And whatever I tried to learn, my brain just couldn't take it. So the key here is to find the balance, enough sleep (not too much) so that brain still can store new data.

    Happy Studying :)
