Hi ALL,
We tried everything in dynamips like playing with IdlePC value.

We were able to acheive CPU process at 70% wth initial configuration on all 13 routers.

( 6 Routers , 3 Backbone routers, and 4 switches.)

After struggling so much and investing lot of time on dynamips and reading various blogs.

I concluded that upgrading the RAM will help us. So I bought another 2gb.

So, Now I have finally 4 GB of ram in my laptop. But still the CPU utilization was 70% with initial configration. Again I referred few blogs. Came to know that Ubuntu may help in getting the CPU process to 30 %. So I thought what's special in Ubuntu. I came to know that it is 64 bit application.

As I am poor in linux so thought to install similar appplication. Like windows Vista or windows 2003 server Enterprise Edition, and the good news is


"If you install dynamips in Server 2003 Enterprise Edition " Which is only 64 bit edition and can be downloaded and installed from aywhere with keys. I was able to achieve CPU utilization in the range of " 0-10%"

I believe it's Amazing and advice you all to try "Server 2003 Enterprise Edition"

My laptop is having Core 2 Duo 1.66 Ghz with 4 GB of ram. But I believe 2 GB will give the same performance. The laptop model is Acer aspire 2920.
